How we build
Operations-approved answers, built with the latest tools.
Decision support that a yard planner can read, understand and act on. Seaquence cuts rehandles, lowering yard emissions, cost per box and turn times.
How Seaquence uses AI to find your best strategy
Seaquence runs a proprietary genetic algorithm on top of our yard simulation engine. Each dot in the graphic below is a decking strategy the platform tests and scores against your prioritized operational metrics (e.g., rehandles, handling time). Each column is a round of tests, called a “generation.” As the process “evolves,” the top strategies are kept and combined into new ones, so every generation builds on the last until the search settles on the strongest.
Hover over or tap any strategy to trace where it came from.
Over 10 generations the best score rises from 57 to 89.
Yard performance improvement
The Seaquence genetic algorithm searches for optimized operational performance, one generation at a time. Each generation builds on the last, so the best score keeps climbing. Higher is better: fewer rehandles, quicker handling, shorter truck turn times.
Under the hood
The latest technology, brought to the yard.
Our team brings the latest innovations in logistics, applied AI and enterprise big data to terminal operations.
Optimize using genetic algorithms
Flexible goal seeking. A proprietary genetic algorithm searches millions of plans against the mix of goals you set, like fewer rehandles, quicker handling, shorter truck turn times.
Translate strategy to operations
Conversational interfaces let your team state the terminal’s priorities in plain language and get a clear synthesis of what several runs found and why. The plan itself always comes from the deterministic engine.
Deploy quickly and securely
Data integration and rollout strategies informed by our team’s prior work with industry leaders. Seaquence is being built to enterprise security standards, so your critical data stays protected.
What we believe
What we hold ourselves to.
Transparency
Every recommendation comes with a human-readable reason. The rationale behind key decisions is shown in the language your planners already use.
Sustainability
Every rehandle avoided is fuel not burned and crane time returned to deliveries. Fewer rehandles mean cleaner air in the harbor and stronger commercial results for the terminal.
Collaboration
Operating decisions are generated collaboratively with your planners, who make the final call. Seaquence helps the team test strategies quickly, compare the outcomes and choose the optimal plan for the coming week.
Dependability
Terminal downtime delays vessel calls, truck appointments and rail cutoffs. Seaquence delivers optimization infrastructure built to run around the clock, not a spotty chatbot.
